Council NewsCouncil News2015-06-17T07:00:00ZGP0|#c2591d37-d237-45d0-98c3-e84ee55e5dad;L0|#0c2591d37-d237-45d0-98c3-e84ee55e5dad|June 2015;GTSet|#78f153b4-3e08-4266-8725-bd656ec40488<div class="ExternalClass4248326183DF47E09314B7625E1D4EA1"><p>The Council Management Board has met several times since the fall, making decisions on a number of critical governance and organizational development decisions, including:</p><ul><li> Reorganizing the Council's two boards into one Management Board; </li><li> Approval of an academic partnerships category allowing the Council to jointly conduct research and knowledge-creation projects with institutions across Canada;</li><li> Approval of the 2015 budget and allocations to each of the four working groups; </li><li> Approval for the hiring of a strategic planner; </li><li> Approval of a Conflict of Interest policy </li><li><p>Approval for a national roundtable in Toronto to coincide with the <a href="" target="_blank"> <span lang="EN-US">PAC Winning by Design Summit</span></a>, and a networking session to coincide with <a href="" target="_blank"> <span lang="EN-US">FCM's Annual Conference and Tradeshow</span></a>;</p></li></ul><p>The Council is also pleased to be sponsoring a description of a closed loop business in an upcoming publication by <a href="" target="_blank"> <span lang="EN-US">Canadian Business for Social Responsibility</span></a>.  The Transformational Company Guide will be available in the fall of 2015.  <br> <br>The Board meets 3 times per year, and once in person at its AGM in the fall.  Board packages and reports are available for all members to view on the members' website.   <br> </p></div>
