Guidelines for Food Donation
The National Zero Waste Council has developed new guidelines to help inform food manufacturers and retailers as well as community organizations who are making decisions about donating or receiving high quality nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste. Driving these guidelines is the need to match the types of food available with the needs of the recipient as well as the capacity and operations of both.
